Katharine Brockman first joined the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in 1992 and held the position of Principal Viola from 1993 – 2011. She was also a member of the Melba Quartet since its inception in 1999 until 2006.
Katharine has appeared frequently as a guest artist with the Australian String Quartet. She has performed as a member of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Australian Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and as guest principal viola of Sydney Symphony and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
