Digital Content Lead

At the MSO, we believe that all people should have the opportunity to access arts and culture, and we seek to utilise all available channels to create engaging experiences for audiences.

In that context, the Digital Content Lead will work as part of the Media team to produce short form video content and live broadcasts, as well as manage social media, with the purpose of reaching new and existing audiences with engaging, enriching content.

The role will also service other video production needs and objectives across the organisation, including Corporate Partnerships, Philanthropy and External Affairs.

Schools and Family Lead

The MSO has six goals that guide its work in the Learning, Engagement & Innovation (LEI) area:

  1. Create inspirational learning experiences, complementing formal learning;
  2. Champion teachers and give them the tools to advocate for music education;
  3. Ensure that MSO is an orchestra for all Victorians;
  4. Connect with new and diverse audiences;
  5. Enhance the audience experience; and
  6. Nurture the next generation of Australian musicians through collaboration.

This role will work as part of the LEI department to achieve these goals with a specific focus on 1 and 2 by leading the MSO’s Schools and Family Program.

The role is the key liaison with teachers, teaching artists and music educators and a primary point of contact for all Schools and Families activities, both internally and externally. Working closely with the Senior Manager, Director and other members of the Learning, Engagement & Innovation team, the role requires close and constructive working relationships across all company departments, as well as with key external stakeholders including the MSO Teacher Consultation Group.

Engagement Lead

External Affairs Lead – Grants and Reporting

The External Affairs Lead – Grants and Reporting provides a critical role in achieving sustainable revenue growth as part of the MSO’s annual philanthropy and external affairs revenue target through successfully managing the MSO’s grants portfolio, including philanthropic Trusts and Foundations as well as government grants.

The role is also responsible for annual reporting to government funding partners on annual KPIs, strategic outcomes and impact, and assisting with stakeholder cultivation, stewardship and events.
