Eligibility
The MSO Academy 2022 pilot program is open to Australian and New Zealand residents on the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba*, percussion*, violin, viola, cello, double-bass and harp*.
There is no age limit for applicants, though the opportunity is best suited to candidates just embarking on their careers as postgraduates and under the age of 35.
*Program content for tuba, percussion and harp will be by agreement on a case by case basis.
Entry requirements
Expressions of Interest are now closed for the MSO Academy 2022 pilot program.
Entry to the program is via a two-step application and audition process. There is a strict minimum playing standard and no minimum intake. Only those applicants of suitable playing standard will be considered for a place in the program.

Both rounds are assessed by a panel of MSO Musicians and MSO Academy committee members.
