Most tickets purchased through the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra may be exchanged to attend another performance within the same concert season, for a fee, by contacting the MSO Box Office. For more information about exchanging your tickets see our Terms & Conditions.

Yes. Any attendee under 18 years of age is eligible for a child ticket.
We also offer a student membership program which provides students 18 years or older access to discounted tickets. It’s free to register.
Alternatively, if you’re aged between 18 and 35, our MUSO program offers discounted tickets to a range of concerts throughout the year.
Concessions are available for:
attendees under the age of 18 years
means-tested Government issued concession card holders. These include age pension, disability support pension, Newstart, supporting parent pension and seniors healthcare card holders
DVA Gold Card
Seniors card concessions are available only for concerts at Iwaki Auditorium (where available) and Melbourne Town Hall performances.
School concessions are available to all parties of teachers, students and parents booking as one group in the name of a school for Geelong, Monash and Metropolis series concerts. Learn more about our programs for schools here.
Proof of eligibility for a concession must be shown at the time of purchase and be on hand at each performance. Concession tickets booked online must be collected at the performance with proof of eligibility presented.
Companion Card-holders are eligible for a complimentary companion ticket to all performances.

Definitely. We offer discounts for groups of 10 or more attendees, unless otherwise specified*.
Group discounts are available for both subscription series and single ticket purchases. For subscriptions, you will pay one reserve lower than your ticket. For single ticket bookings, there is a 15% discount off the standard price.
*Some performances may not be available for group bookings.

Your safety and the safety of your fellow audience members is paramount. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms we encourage you to contact the MSO Box Office at your earliest convenience. Requests for refunds must be received in writing 5+ hours before your scheduled performance time. Where possible, we will provide the option to exchange your ticket for another performance, or issue a gift card to the value of your ticket(s). Please note, refund/exchange/gift card requests cannot be finalised until confirmation has been provided by an MSO Box Office staff member.
