Lift access is available to all levels of the building. Escalator access is also available between Ground Level and Level 1.

Spaces/bays for wheelchair or scooter users are located in Row U of the Stalls, and in the Upper East Wing of the hall, all with companion seating available. To book, please call the MSO Box Office on (03) 9929 9600.

Accessible seating options are also available in other capacities, with seats in Row U of the Stalls, row A of the Circle, and seats 11-15 of both Upper Wings all accessible without stairs. Seating in the Wings sections are also wider and have articulated, raising arm-rests.

During performances, walkers are generally stored outside the doors to the auditorium and minded by Recital Centre staff. The walkers can then be retrieved by staff at the end of the performance, at interval or upon request. If you would prefer to keep your walker with you during a concert, please call the MSO Box Office on (03) 9929 9600 to discuss suitable seating.

There are accessible toilets on all foyer levels.

A hearing loop is available in Stalls section of the hall. To access, patrons can switch their hearing aid to the ‘T’ position, or request a receiver and headphones from the Front of House team.

Seating can be arranged to accommodate needs of concertgoers who are blind or have low vision. To book, please call the MSO Box Office on (03) 9929 9600.

Key service signage in the venue are also presented in Braille.

Guide dogs and service animals are welcome at the Melbourne Recital Centre, and usually sit in an aisle or underneath the seats during performances. Seating in the Wing sections of the hall are also a great option for anyone bringing service animals, as these seats have extra room on either side of the chair.

Accessible car spaces are available at a number of car parks nearby. Spaces are located at the nearby Australian Ballet Centre and Arts Centre Melbourne/NGV car parks and on Dodds St near the Malthouse Theatre, (in between St Kilda Rd and Sturt St.)
